What is the hibiscus flower?

The Hibiscus flower is beautiful soft-petal flower that comes in a variety of colors primarily in shades of red, white and yellow. It is popular in tropical climates in Africa, the Carribean, Southern Asia, the Americas, Australia and the Mediterranean. Scientific variations include the sabdariffa and the roselle. The roselle has been brewed as a tea in cultures as diverse as the Carribean, Africa and southeast Asia for centuries. The health benefits, believed to mythical for so may years have recently been scientically proven. Please see below.

Is the hibiscus juice organic?

Several research studies have been conducted on the Hibiscus sabdariffa and the published findings show a littany of health benefits. These benefits include reducing the incidence of “bad cholesterol”, liver disease, and the clensing of the gastrointestinal system. Three such distinguished studies conducted collaboratively at Taiwan’s Chung Shan Medical University, the Chung Hwa College of Medical Technology and the Armed Forces Taichung General Hospital also in Taiwan are referenced below:
